Your wedding cake is a great way to add a splash of color, a bit of fun or to make a statement at your reception. The best part is when your cake is unlike something that most of your guests probably haven’t seen, like this one.

Most of the time, brides opt to have an intricate design on the sides of their cake, or maybe on just one layer. This particular couple went a different route, and had a design placed on the top of each layer. It adds a splash of color, but is still a very chic cake. And, even better, the cake shop based the design off of their stationary.

If you remember, early on we chose our wedding colors:

It was back when I re-did our wedding invites for the final time (I have not touched them sense, only to change location information; you should be proud), that the FI and I decided what the theme for the wedding was going to be: Circles. We would use the circles in conjunction with the modern, Fall colors we chose.
It is not a very exciting theme, I get that, but almost all of the elements that we plan on using/incorporating into the ceremony and reception will have some sort of tie-in with the whole “circle” theme. And, because of the design on our invitations and the monogram I created, it just seemed very obvious to us what we could do to make the wedding feel fun and modern by playing with the circle theme. As I continue to share the details of our wedding, I will reveal some elements hear and there (we wouldn’t want to give it all away now, would we?).
