The second I saw this wedding, I was knocking on the photographer’s door (okay, email inbox). While it only features photos from their at-home reception, the details are insane. All of which were DIY’ed by the bride, her Mom, family and friends. It’s simple, beautiful and vintage. It’s personal, fun and sunny. Enough adjectives to get you to check out the photos. And, since there is so much awesomness, I had to split it up into two posts. Part Two is coming up this afternoon. For now, enjoy the beautiful photography and story from the Bride.

From the Bride:
We were married on February 26, 2011 in Sayulita, Mexico. Since only a handful of family and friends were able to attend, an “at home” wedding reception was created at the groom’s family cottage in historic Maeystown, Illinois; the same place Max proposed. Settled within the bluffs and hollows just miles from the Mississippi river, Mayestown came to life that night with a shabby chic, country wedding for the ages! Guests enjoyed the beautiful evening outside of the pre-civil war “Thomas Fink” house with an array of beverages, including homemade sangria, margarita and hurricanes served on antique doors and benches. The outlying buildings, such as the home’s summer kitchen, were meticulously decorated with nostalgic photos of our life, including their wedding pictures from Sayulita. The food, spread across the property ranged from the lavish cheese table for noshing, to the after dinner ‘sweet box;’ all maintained the country elegance theme of the evening. Having been blessed to escape the 100% rain forecast, guest celebrated into a night that included cigars, a bonfire and dancing.
