Cultural weddings rock my socks off. The meaning, the love, the tradition. All of it. Joann and Mike take a nod to their families, but also incorporate traditional wedding details including programs, guestbook, and of course, a traditional ceremony. Beautiful all around. Not to mention that photographer, Clary, captured them so beautifully (and some of the photos are in film!).

From the Bride:
Wedding planning was made easy with the vendors we used. We were planning our wedding from NYC and wanted everything to be simple, easy and organized. Our wedding planner took care of budget items, invoicing, rehearsal/rehearsal dinner planning, day off scheduling, etc. She stayed within our budget and made our wedding beautiful. Each our vendors was a pleasure to work with and was accommodating and fun to work with. Clary photo flew out to NYC and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She made us look like we’ve never looked before! Kelly at Crimson Petal took on a proactive role and set the mood of the ceremony and the reception with her unique and creative ideas. With the floods in STL that year, she was quick to resolve issues with availability of flowers. She stayed within our budget without compromising quality and beauty. Rockstar DJ listened to each of our requests and set the ever-evolving mood for the reception. We loved our wedding thanks to everyone who made it so special!
Ceremony / Reception Venue: Four Seasons St. Louis | Flowers: Crimson Petal | Music: Rockstar DJs | Planner: Fleur di Lis | Makeup: Metamorphisis – Jennifer Sarino | Photobooth: Photobooth STL | Photographer: Clary Photo | Linens: BBJ Linen | Rentals: Premier Party Rentals
I’m pretty partial to this particular pair of shoes. Namely because I know the beautiful bride who donned them on her wedding day. Not to mention, this wedding was just downright beautiful. Trust me.

I’m type A (in case you’re wondering), so the details are pretty important to me. And, while details are not important to everyone (which is perfectly okay), it really is the details in a wedding that help bring everything together.
See this gorgeous bouquet?

It ties in nicely with these pillows featured on the bride and groom’s chairs at the reception (the wheat).

And, work great with the place card holders (pine cone).

While most guests won’t outright notice each minor detail, they will notice personality and cohesiveness. And, I’m definitely not suggesting spending a fortune on your wedding, because, at the end of the day, you don’t truly need to.Just take the time to plan out the details – make sure they make sense for the wedding, and for you and your significant other, as a couple.
Well, not so much a wedding day tip as much as it is just a tip (for your engagement photos).
So it’s cold here and in case you don’t believe me, take a look:

So, it would be no surprise that if you have your engagement photos scheduled between now and February/March, you probably would want to avoid the outdoors (that is, of course, if you’d rather bundle up in eighty-billion layers). With Winter upon us, I wanted to offer up some ideas on great indoor locations for your engagement photos.
Option One: Your Home/Apartment

Option Two: Local Museum

Option Three: Local Restaurant

There a ton more ideas and options out there, but these are great places to start. Maybe take pictures at home, where you both can feel comfortable and in your element. Or, visit a local museum, like the City Museum here in town, where there are great architectural elements. Even better (because I like good food), have pictures taken at your favorite restaurant.
