Not only do I adore how colorful this wedding is, I love how much the vibrancy reflects the couple’s love for one another and their families. The photos of them dancing, cake cutting, the bouquet and garter toss, just show how goofy and fun-loving they are. It made me wish I was there! Incorporating their backgrounds and cultures also makes their wedding so special to them and their families. I just can’t help but smile looking at these photos!
From the Photographer:
Ilene and Miguel met while they were both teachers for Teach For America in Baltimore, Maryland. They planned a beautiful New Mexico wedding in Ilene’s hometown of Albuquerque for friends all over the country featuring colorful details and traditions from Mexico. They had the ceremony in the Alumni Chapel at her Alma Mater, the University of New Mexico, and the reception at the gorgeous El Pinto restaurant. I loved all of the carefully chosen details in their wedding, and especially loved all the bright, beautiful colors!
