I’m not gonna lie. I used to wear heels all of the time. ALL of the time. I owned (and still do) a ton of high heels. I thought it was important for my internships during college, because I was a business major, to have some professional (but fun and funky) shoes. However, when I graduated college, I started a job with an international advertising agency, where the dress code was pretty casual. As in, I wore jeans and flip flops in the summer, with a cute top. In the winter I wore flats.
Enter Job #2. I started this job back in October of last year – this time at a web site development and creative agency. Again, dress code was still pretty casual, except when at client meetings. This pretty much led to a decline in my desire to wear heels. The problem? My shoes for the wedding are adorable (and hot) Kate Spades. So, I reaffirmed my love affair with heels, and actually have been wearing them a lot more often (go me). But, before I bought the Kate Spades, I seriously thought I’d be a ballet flat bride or a two shoe bride (heels for ceremony, flats for reception).
The moral? Not every bride wants to wear heels. There are plenty of ladies out there who would rather find an adorable pair of ballet flats so they are comfortable all day long. I don’t blame them at all. So, of course, I love when I find a great pair of shoes (of any kind) that I can share for inspiration. Now, if I only I could tell you who the designer is.
