Something about these are quite magical. And the combo of the man in uniform and the bride’s vintage look that makes these images feel like they are from another time. Le swoon.

I’ve asked for one thing as a wedding gift from my future husband. Most girls want a pair of diamonds or jewelry of some sort. However, I want a few sweet photos that look like this:

So…..I asked for these:

Bulgari

It’s strange, I know. But I LOVE sunglasses. Like it’s my job. I have a million pairs floating around my house.

Was there one accessory you just had to have for your wedding day?

There is something so simply gorgeous about how simple and chic this bride’s dress is.

As if I don’t already preach it enough, but really, make the elements of your wedding uniquely personal.

I originally found this real wedding on the Classic Bride site, and did some serious swooning over many of the details the couple focused on:

One: A brooch the groom gave the bride nearly five years prior to their wedding which she never wore. So, while packing for their wedding, she stumbled across it, and only felt it would be fitting to place it on her bouquet.

Two: Megan and Jesse had a gospel choir sing prior to the bride walking down the aisle, and again as everyone left the chapel. A great surprise for the guests.

Three: Including their three year-old yellow lab, who happily walked down the aisle. Twice.

Check out the original post over on the Classic Bride to learn more about their other personal details.  How would you personalize your wedding?

I’m type A (in case you’re wondering), so the details are pretty important to me. And, while details are not important to everyone (which is perfectly okay), it really is the details in a wedding that help bring everything together.

See this gorgeous bouquet?

It ties in nicely with these pillows featured on the bride and groom’s chairs at the reception (the wheat).

And, work great with the place card holders (pine cone).

While most guests won’t outright notice each minor detail, they will notice personality and cohesiveness. And, I’m definitely not suggesting spending a fortune on your wedding, because, at the end of the day, you don’t truly need to.Just  take the time to plan out the details – make sure they make sense for the wedding, and for you and your significant other, as a couple.

I think it’s great when a bride can really find a unique piece to wear on her wedding, whether it’s a piece of jewelry, a pair of shoes or a head piece.

And, for this particular bride, Fiona, she found a gorgeous headpiece to wear for her small, London wedding.

I have a closet full of cardigans. One in every color, some 3/4 sleeve, some long sleeve, some short. One for every occasion. But it never occurred to me to wear one with a wedding dress. Not that you get to wear your dress more than once, but my point being that many brides opt to wear a bolero or jacket. So, why not wear a cardigan? And, even better, why not wear one in a fun color?

Yes, I said it. This girl has a great veil.

Not to mention that I love her double-stranded pearls. They are timeless and classic.

Are you including any statement pieces in your bridal wardrobe?

So, if my hair won’t do this for my wedding, I’ll probably opt for something like this.

Bridal Buzz

A bun like that would look fantastic with a great hair flower.  It’s soft and unstructured, which I love.  It’s not all slicked back (which I don’t love…on me).
