Just in case you’ve been living under a rock. Spring is here. So much so that here in St. Louis, the weather has been absolutely gorgeous, with an abundance of sunshine.
Not only that, but Spring in St. Louis means the tulips are in bloom all over my alma mater’s campus. Is it weird of me to say I wish college this time of the year?

Okay, well not all of them. But SOME of them. Pick something that fits both of your personalities. I love these photos from Jen Kroll. And, in flipping through all of their wedding photos, this couple was a ton of fun!

I love baseball. L-O-V-E it. I live in the town of the best fans in baseball (don’t argue with me, because you cannot convince me otherwise). And, I also live in the town where El Hombre plays. So, of course, I love that Tony Hoffer shot a recent engagement session at a baseball stadium. By no means, is it MY baseball stadium (and by “MY” I mean my city’s baseball stadium). The couple was able to get into Citizen’s Bank Park (where the Phillies play) to get some pics. And, I have to give kudos to the Phillie’s because St. Louis’ own Ryan Howard plays for them.
At any rate – in honor of opening day at Busch Stadium in 7 days (i.e. not soon enough), here is one of my faves. Check out the Hoffer Photography blog for more!

Finding a photographer for our wedding was pretty easy. Granted, I did a TON of searching (not lying, ask the Pilot), but that’s mostly because photography was so important to the both of us.. I just loved too many people and wished I had the unlimited resources to hire them all. At the end of the day we made a fantastic decision with the photographer we chose (and coincidentally, she recently launched her new web site and blog earlier this week and am SO proud of her).
I know many of couples out there are typically at a loss of where to even begin or how to make a decision on the photographer. And, lets be honest, not all of us want the same thing with regards to budget and style. *Angel Chimes* Enter: SnapKnot.

So, what’s this site about?
SnapKnot allows engaged couples to search for wedding photographers to fit their location, budget and style. Plus the site is easy to navigate, and completely free to use to search and contact wedding photographers. You also have the option to find photographers who are willing to travel.

So, how is this site different than other directories?
SnapKnot is a photocentric site, which gives couples the opportunity to get an idea of a photographer’s particular style and ability before spending time and effort going to each photographer’s website, getting pricing details, etc.
If you haven’t taken the time to browse the site, give it a try. The easy search options, and clutter-free site make it a must-use in your planning process.
**SnapKnot did not pay for this feature.**
It’s because of images like this that you should have a photo booth. Not only will your guests love you for it, but you’ll have images like this to call your own.
Bit shout out to bobbi + mike for all of these photos. They officially announced their “Unboxed Photobooth” as an option with your wedding package, so check out their recent blog post for more hilarious shots!

Happy Monday!
And, please let your photographer capture moments like this. Weddings are not about posed photos, but about the emotion, the fun, the love.

And, in case you’re wondering (although I’m sure you’re not), the bride and groom in this photo are from Kennett, Missouri. You know, the same town that Sheryl Crow is from.
I love a good love story. Just as much as I love finding new talent and sharing the work (well, they may not be new, but they are new to me). And, I love finding photo shoots that are a true representation of a couple.
Jillian Bisinger recently shot a friend of hers and his husband while they were in town (in town = Los Angeles) visiting. If there is something I’m a die-hard advocate for, it is same-sex marriage. So, of course, I love the fact that Alton and Andre were married several years ago while on board a cruise ship off the coast of Rio de Janiero in a fantastic ceremony with friends and family. Now, if only we can make the move to allow that to happen in the States (as in all of them, not just a few).
Jill was able to capture some wonderful, and high fashion shots of the two – of course while enjoying a few glasses of the bubbly. Besides being a fun, and perfect couple, the two have small ties to the wedding industry. Alton is the Creative Director at Kate’s Paperie, a paper boutique in New York and Connecticut. Andre, on the other hand is a jewelry atelier out of Rio de Janiero where he runs his own business A.Costa Deluxe. And, of course Andre made their wedding bands – which could not have been a more perfect situation.

P dot S: If you have already jumped over to Jill‘s site, please do so – she does some amazing work. Not to mention she is extremely sweet. AND, add her blog to your Reader (no pressure or anything)!
P dot S dot S: On April 8, the No H8 Project is hosting an exhibit featuring the photos from the St. Louis shoots. I urge you to check it out if you’re available!
It was 70 out a little over a week ago, so I’m longing for the arrival of Spring and Summer. Can it please get here fast? (Yes, I know, the first day of Spring was March 20, but there’s still a chill in the air).
Area photog, Megan Thiele took these shots while on destination in Destin, FL to shoot the wedding of a former co-worker of mine, Ashley. Makes me wish it were 80, or that I were on vacation. Either way, these two had a ton of fun during their e-photo session.

In continuing with our groomsmen theme for today, I had to share this.
And, for the record, he is not using the other tree to help him out.

Because it’s Monday and we all lost an hour of sleep over the weekend, I present to you a bit of humor. The kid in that photo is cracking me up.
