plan a modern wedding in the middle of the country

Minnesota is known as the land of 10,000 lakes…. now, that’s a lot of lakes. This can only mean that there must also be 10,000 amazing waterfront and outdoor wedding venues in Minnesota to choose from right? Well, not quite that many, but there are definitely some outdoor and waterfront venues that are worth taking a look at. There are different venues to fit different size guests lists and different wedding styles. From rustic to elegant, traditional to something a bit more modern, Minnesota has it all. For all the Landlocked Minnesota brides out there, be sure to take note, and for the Landlocked brides in the surrounding areas, hopefully you are able to find some inspiration. I’ll let the photos take it from here…

This past weekend I was able to celebrate the marriage of a dear friend here in Knoxville. Not only is this photo taken by Life’s Little Stories simply breathtaking, it also inspired today’s blog post.  The architecture, the character and the simplistic beauty in which a barn setting can create is both magical and romantic, but allows for some pretty amazing photos as well.

Congratulations to Amanda and Kevin on their wedding this past weekend, and to all brides-to-be planning their upcoming barn wedding — have fun and show off all of the artistic details your venue effortlessly provides!

Nothing like the blank canvas of the concrete. The look of a couple lying down or sitting in the streets isn’t for everyone. Kudos to the bride who will brave the road in her dress for a pretty rockin’ photo.

St. Louis pretty much has one spot where you can find graffiti. And, it’s like the king of graffiti wall. A huge spot down by the landing.

Jeremy Lawson always manages to find the perfect (and not to mention funny) graffiti spots. If you’re going for that urban feel – why not get a few shots next to that brightly colored brick wall?

I know, two “photography venue” posts in one week. But, the Midwest truly has some hidden gems that must be shared. Like the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois.

And, in case your wondering, the bride is the same bride from this video.
