I love me some modern invites with clean lines and square corners, but I so swoon over a classic wedding invitation. And, when you pair letterpress with gorgeous calligraphy, you get invitation heaven.

Heidi over at idieh|design has so willingly offered to share with me a great piece from her stationary design. While all of her work is fantastic (and it truly is – check out her portfolio), this save the date happens to be one of my favorites. Probably because it’s a tad bit nautical, and I love pretty much anything nautical (i.e. knots and anchors).

i spy a little fun

If you have my family, chances are you don’t need any games or ice breakers to get the party going. I come from a long line of talkers and have-a-good-timers.

BUT, that doesn’t mean you still cannot entertain your guests with a little fun during the cocktail hour or reception.

This particular bride, Jenny, created a wedding “I Spy” game, encouraging guests to take pictures (there were disposable cameras on the tables). Not only would this get your guests going, but it’ll provide you and your significant other with some interesting and entertaining photos from the evening.

Now, you know that if you received one of these in the mail, you’d be in heaven (unless, of course, you’re not a fan of lavender). But, this is a great touch, one that is small, but memorable.

Most nights when I’m not spending time with the Mr., I browse the web for things that inspire me. Not just wedding blogs, but anything, photography, fashion, etc. In most cases, I usually have an eye for things like a great bride and groom shot or ring shot, but this one from Hoffer Photography caught my eye.

Usually, programs feature pretty basic details, but how can you not appreciate the design used on the front of this one? It’s simple, but it plays on the use of lines, which I’m a huge fan of.
