With a new year and a world of awesome ahead of us, Landlocked Bride is looking for an Editorial Intern to join our team!

Landlocked Bride regularly features real weddings, inspiration boards, vendor spotlights and an array of other wedding-related topics. The editorial intern will be tasked with researching topics to blog, preparing blog posts, making updates to the vendor guide and assisting the editor, Brit, with maintaining the overall integrity of the blog site.

Our ideal editorial intern:

  • is obsessed weddings and the wedding industry!
  • knows his / her way around the wedding and design blogosphere.
  • is proficient in the WordPress platform.
  • has a strong design aesthetic.
  • is reliable and a self-starter; motivated.
  • has his / her own computer and reliable internet access.
  • 
knowledge of Photoshop is a plus.
  • college education or degree in design, communications, creative writing, or marketing is a plus.

Candidate will be working remotely, but will regularly collaborate with Brit via email and Skype, and will require an average of 5 to 10 hours of work per week by contributing 1 to 2 posts per week. If you are Denver-based, you will have the opportunity to meet with Brit in person and tag along to networking events as we see fit. Internship requires a minimum 6-month commitment. College credit is not currently offered, but hope to in the future.

In nearly two weeks since the first day of Spring, we’ve been hit with two (count that, two) snow storms. As in at least 3 inches of snow. BUT, we’ve also had 70 degree weather. Explain that one!

At any rate, with the last bit of winter nipping us in the but, I couldn’t help but feature this adorable and snowy engagement session from Kate Botwinski. It features several of the things I love about winter (other than the snow), including oversized mugs of hot cocoa and sledding.

Plus, in preparation for their photoshoot, Katie, the bride, found a cute beanie on etsy.com and knitted herself a scarf to match.  She also sported an adorable minty green sweater which Andrew, her husband-to-be, surprised her with as a gift.

Jen + Brett wed at Zilber Park, which happens to be right on the grounds of the Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The setting truly made for a beautiful backdrop.
