This guy (or gal), would be a great addition to your wedding decor (or holiday decor). Plus, it’s a simple process to make (much likes the ribbon wreath). All you really need is a styrofoam wreath form, felt, straight pins and a few other small crafty items.
All of the step-by-step instructions can be found on the DomestiFluff site.
They wreath (or wreathes) would be great in door entry-ways. Smaller versions would be good for the aisle at the ceremony. The list goes on.
If you end up crafting one of these, let me know how it goes. And, send pics! I’d love to share it with the readers!
One of the good things that has come out of me starting this blog (out of the many), is that my friends are always on the lookout for things for me to blog about. They always want me to have fresh content – which I LOVE and appreciate.
A friend from high school, who got engaged not to long ago, sent me the link to 1154 Lill Studio. Now, I bookmarked this site a while back with the intention of blogging about it to you all, but in all the hoopla of the fantastic things I find on a daily basis, it completely slipped my mind. That is, until she sent me a message about it.
1154 Lill Studio has revolutionized the handbag/tote industry. The shop gives you the opportunity to completely customize a handbag, clutch, tote, etc. Not only that, but you can customize everything down to what the pattern is for the lining.

My favorite is the above clutch, called Erinn. You can pick the fabric for the top band, the rest of the bag, and the lining, giving you the opportunity to choose up to three different fabrics in their collection. And, my favorite of their fabrics is Red Rocks.

These bags make great gifts for anyone – moms, friends, etc. So, if you haven’t been there already, check out their site and play around with their options! You’ll probably find something for yourself or a friend (and with the holidays around the corner – these would make great holiday gifts)!
In keeping with our circle , the Pilot and I may just round the corners on all of our paper goods.

Although our invitations and save the dates have not been completely finalized, we are currently liking the look of the rounded corners over the traditional square.
Plus, as a scrapbooker (although, I must confess it’s been awhile since my last scrapbook), it’ll be great to keep that crafty tool around!
In your envelopes.
LOVING this idea. It’s a creative way to make your Thank You envelopes fun (and different).

For those of you who didn’t already know, the FI is a pilot. So, of course I love these Save the Dates…best of all they are FREE!

Plus, the envelope design is free, too!

Now, we aren’t going to use them, we’ve designed our paper suite ourselves, but I love the little paper airplane!
I love seating charts at weddings. They are more fun and interactive than escort cards. Maybe it is because I just don’t like the look of the escort cards, but that’s not my point.
A local bride contracted Laura Hooper to have her create a seating chart for her rehearsal dinner. However, she did it as a surprise to her soon-to-be-husband by making it a St. Louis Cardinal-themed seating chart. Now, I love the Cardinals (a ton) and am not a huge fan of putting sports into a wedding, but I love that they used this for their rehearsal dinner. He loved it and the guests loved it, too. Couldn’t get any better than that!

So, you’re having a romantic, vintage wedding, and you’re looking for a unique way to dress up your reception tables. Insert vintage books.

Not only is this an eco-friendly decoration option (no new materials are needed), but the books add a touch of whimsy and character. They make a great base for milk jars filled with wildflowers, or they are great by themselves. Plus, you can even use them in photos.
Jessica Claire used this idea in her last photography workshop, stacking Anthropologie coffee mugs on top. She even used old books for her very own wedding invitations (see the post here).

You can find old books at garage sales, book swaps, used book stores, eBay and the list goes on. They are pretty inexpensive, but can make a big impact.
Who doesn’t love cookies and milk? I do.
A fun idea to feature at your reception is a different kind of buffet. Lots of couples are featuring candy buffets, which are a huge hit with guests. It is always great when the couple go for an ‘alternative’ buffet, like this one! Mmm…chocolate chip cookies and milk!

However, this girl would need a much larger glass of milk!
These Smitten Sticks have been circulating the even and wedding planning blogs like crazy, but how can you not adore them?
The mustache, smiles and other faces are uber fun, and your guests will love them with your photo booth. You get two of each one, for a total of 8, and they come with cute, stripe-y sticks. Order them from Etsy.

In our household, we try really hard to remain eco-conscious and buy organic when we can. Which made me think about some great organic candy options for a candy buffet. And, thanks to Sara Snow’s recent blog post, it was an easy search! Plus, after eating all of that Halloween candy, you’re probably looking for a better alternative!
Yummy Earth has great assortment of organic lollipops. The pomegranate one sound delish (I’m on a big Pom kick right now). Dum Dum definitely doesn’t offer that flavor!

The Natural Candy Store features a big variety of organic, vegan, gluten free and other sweet treats. I’m sure many of you may be cringing at the idea of “healthy-ish” candy, but I think it is a fantastic way to make a candy buffet unique and different (especially if you like to be eco-friendly and healthy!
