I think I may have just found my materials for convincing the FI that slate gray, red and orange are the way to go. I’ve been doing some major research, and thanks to a few of my bridesmaids, I got some great mood boards to share with him. I’ll keep you posted on how this venture pans out.

UPDATE:
We’ve decided to stick with our original color combination. After much thought and talk, the FI just doesn’t like the slate with the red and orange. Plus, we cannot find gray suits and coordinating bridesmaids dresses that we are happy with. I think the chocolate brown and tan suits will look good. And, yes we are both happy with this decision.
Seems another great color combination is sweeping the wedding blog world. That of tangerine and slate (le swoon).
The lovely Kathryn at Snippet and Ink featured this great inspiration board on her blog yesterday. I absolutely love the slate/graphite color with the pop of orange. These would be great Fall wedding colors. Orange, for obvious reasons. The slate/graphite? It’s just such a modern color (and you all know how much I love slate) and great for accents! Only one color missing…..red (I am biased, haha).

Okay, I am seriously contemplating switching the chocolate brown (in my colors) for the slate. I so want to, but the FI wasn’t really feeling it when I brought my negotiating skills to the table last night. Good thing we are still 13 months out (as of yesterday, folks!)….I still got time to woo him. Fingers crossed.
P.S. I still love our colors, I just really like a lot of other colors, too. What can I say? I love color.
