I’m taking a break today and heading over to A Low Country Wedding. Erin, the blog’s editor, is off enjoying herself on a fabulous vacation, so I shared my latest color palette for you all to drool over. With Fall around the corner (well, we’re still a month out…but still), I cannot help but get excited about Fall wedding color palettes. And, with so many great sites out there featuring them regularly, I love when I find palettes featuring colors I have yet to see executed.

Not only is this mix great for Summer, but it’s a fantastic early Fall palette. Rosey and warm, with a cool touch of blues. Perfect for that crisp Fall air.

Sometimes details are best when color coordinated. So, why not use a good balance of your core colors, but be sure to tie it all together with a neutral, like white.

A seriously refreshing palette for your (hopefully) eventful Wednesday.

I’ve featured majolica blue on the blog before – but in more of a Fall palette. I love the splash of yellow in this combination. It’s the perfect punch of color (and Summer).

Color does not need to come from your flowers necessarily. Why not try a colored crinoline, shoe or gown.

I had to share this bright and bold color palette from Grey Likes Weddings.

The use of the jewel tones is a great idea for spring and summer – especially since those seasons are typically saturated with bright pinks, greens and yellows.

I love a good “opposite” color combo when it comes to wedding parties. There is something about the bride carrying a colorful bouquet that just really pops against her white gown. It’s even more gorgeous when it is a dramatic combo such as black and white. Midnight callas are so pretty.

It’s no secret that purple is the color I chose as the “it” color for this year, so of course I love this palette. It’s one of those that looks great at any time of the year.

Go ahead, call me crazy on this one, but I have always loved colored wedding gowns (See: Colored Wedding Gowns).

When Jose Villa posted these pictures from a recent shoot he collaborated with Once Wed and other amazing vendors on, I had some serious big puffy heart love going on. While most of you (well, I’m assuming most of you) think this is pretty “dark,” I find the gown quite romantic and chic.

plum/eggplant – my pick for this year’s color

So, if you haven’t heard, Turquoise is the “it” color for 2010. While I love turquoise, I love other colors more. Namely, plum/eggplant. Jewel tones are gorgeous at ANY time of the year, and this purple can be rocked is something fun and flirty, or long and elegant (I’m talking bridesmaids dresses).
