plan a modern wedding in the middle of the country

I love the simple playfulness of this wedding. The rustic setting, confetti garland, colorful guestbook, wildflowers, and of course, all the shots on the playground. There are so many smiles and so much laughter, it’s hard not to see the joy coming from Kate and Evan!

From the Photographer:

Playful and vibrant would be how this wedding could be best described. Kate had many diy projects from collection of wine corks to decorate and empty space in the venue to table assignments hung up by clothes pins written in calligraphic handwriting. Kate and Evan’s wedding was simple yet elegant with a touch of playfulness which is evident in the decor choices of blue and yellow, the streamers on the back of the chairs and the choice wild flowers.

One of the notable DIY projects is the guestbook; which consisted of scraps of colorful paper in which guest would write a note to the bride a groom which later has been added to a scrap book.

One other note to make is that her dress originally had no buttons on the back. This was added after she purchased the dress. A very nice touch to a simply elegant ball gown wedding dress.
