plan a modern wedding in the middle of the country

Weddings can absolutely be a family affair. It’s always heartwarming to see when friends and family want to really pitch in to make the marriage and celebration personal and unique. Megan’s Mom did just that. And, even started her own wedding business as a result, naming it “My Daughter’s Wedding Events.”

Too sweet if you as me. Just like Megan and Kevin. And, those delicious taffy apples they made as favors for their guests!

From the Bride:
Our wedding was really a labor of love for my family. We pretty much did everything for it. My mom was amazing; she’s always thrown great parties but this went above and beyond anything she has ever done. Through doing my wedding she realized she was missing out on something she really loved doing, so she started My Daughter’s Wedding Events. All of the decorating done in the reception area and ceremony area was done by my mom. She planned everything and found everything we used. We made all the flower balls throughout the wedding, and my mom did all of our table arrangements. She even made all the taffy apples that were the favors. We made the seating charts and ceremony windows. I made the aisle runner. My sister did all of the hair and make up, and her father-in-law made the cart on which the taffy apples were displayed.

Like Megan’s Mom- I am so very happy for and proud of my own daughter, who doesn’t just take a picture, but instead is careful to capture a moment, or an emotion, or tell a story with her photos- I just love her work!

  3. Oh my gosh, I love the seating chart with the lace behind the window panes. Brilliant!
