plan a modern wedding in the middle of the country

This post was originally scheduled to go up on November 3rd, but due to a glitch I rescheduled it. But, you can still catch “Part Two,” which features Joyce and Peter’s fabulous wedding video.

Classically Chicago in every way. There is something about a Chicago wedding that is so different that the other Midwest wedding. It probably has everything to do with that it’s Chicago, but every time I see a Windy City wedding, I swoon over it. The details, the love, the pretty.  Joyce and Peter’s wedding were just that. All the more reason to share, too.

From the Bride:
Being a very organized person, we started planning early. We knew we wanted to invite a lot of guests, so the first steps we took were to set the date, book the photographer, and book the ceremony and reception venues. Then, we booked the live band and make-up.

All of vendors that we used were absolutely amazing. We never thought our wedding day would be so fun and stress-free, especially with all the details that it would entail (14 people in the bridal party, around 320 guests), but it was the best day of our lives. Misha ensured that we soak in the day and enjoy ourselves, and Chris Sarlas Orchestra was what made our reception amazing. We still reminisce about our day often and are proud to say that it was the most amazing we’ve been to :). If we would have to give advice to engaged couples, we would pass on the wise advice that Michele offered us: Stop and soak in every single event of the wedding for 1 minute. Also, so many brides think that wedding planning is stressful, but we would say that it is a whole lot of fun.
