plan a modern wedding in the middle of the country

Sarah of Miller + Miller Wedding Photography sent over this wedding earlier this year and I have been itching to share it on the blog, but told myself to hold off until Spring was around the corner. Well, it’s finally here (the sun, that is) and Spring is 19 days away (Yes, I am still counting).

Mark and Michele planned this nautical-themed wedding in the heart of Northern Illinois. The bride’s graphic design background meant the paper goods were a no brainer, and she made every effort to create a “coastal cottage” look and feel throughout the reception site. Plus, the beautiful couple helped out photographers Sarah and Ryan to find the “beachy” backdrops for some of their wedding photos. Had I not told you this was a suburban Chicago wedding, you may as well have thought they were on the shores of Lake Michigan.

So, while you dream of warmer temperatures and longer days, enjoy this warm and coastal wedding.

  1. I adore the crispness of the blue and white stripes! The wooden slabs with candles are just fabulous! And the favor jars are so cute! How pretty to have a shoot like the one in front of the water with the boats behind!?!?

    And P.S., I’m counting too ;-))
