plan a modern wedding in the middle of the country

Some background:
The FI is a pilot and flight instructor and has a massive love of aviation and military history.

Would this not be the most perfect venue ever (for us, that is)?

Now if only we had an air and space museum here. I’m really surprised we don’t, considering the amount of aviation history that has taken place in this town (ahem, Lindbergh’s plane was named after my hometown, after all).

  1. You guys don’t have an air & space museum? That’s weird.

Yes, this would be a great venue for a reception. But I am a fan of receptions at museums in general.

  2. We’ve been to the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola a few times, and it’s always fun. Boeing has the Prologue Room–it’s certainly not as large as an entire museum, but they’ve got some really cool stuff in there!

  3. Iiiiiiiii dunno…it’s a little too “technical” for my wedding tastes. I mean, I know he loves airplanes and stuff, but that would be tantamount to my having a “Horses” themed wedding…or a “Choir” themed wedding.

    Maybe that’s just me though.

Haha! So reluctant. I love the use of the space in museums, and well, you know how I feel about that!

  5. I will admit, I loved, loved, LOVED the idea of having it the planetarium. It just seemed so romantic, under all those fake stars.

And if Colin was lucky, we could have had a repeat viewing of the movie about the moon that I made him watch once there that I know he loved sooooooooo much. haha.
