plan a modern wedding in the middle of the country

I think I may have just found my materials for convincing the FI that slate gray, red and orange are the way to go.  I’ve been doing some major research, and thanks to a few of my bridesmaids, I got some great mood boards to share with him.  I’ll keep you posted on how this venture pans out.

Wish me luck.

UPDATE:

We’ve decided to stick with our original color combination.  After much thought and talk, the FI just doesn’t like the slate with the red and orange.  Plus, we cannot find gray suits and coordinating bridesmaids dresses that we are happy with.  I think the chocolate brown and tan suits will look good.  And, yes we are both happy with this decision.

  1. I’m glad you guys are sticking with the other color combo. I don’t love slate with red and orange.

I love the slate, but it’s only a color. The chocolate brown looks just as good, and since the FI is quite a bit involved in this whole wedding planning, we both want to make sure we are on the same page. So chocolate brown it is!

Do you happen to still have the “materials” and would you be willing to share? I am contemplating a red/orange/grey palette myself (was just going to do orange and grey, but the venue has red/burgundy curtains). Thanks!

Sorry to not be clear! I was just wondering if you still had photos/color palette etc you were going to use to convince the fiance to go the slate grey/red/orange route. Thanks!
