plan a modern wedding in the middle of the country

The FI and I have given some serious thought to preparing welcome bags for our out of town guests and most of those staying in a hotel downtown for our wedding.  We really wanted to incorporate using recycled paper totes or boxes, but have not had much luck finding something in the size and style we are going for.

Our plan was for me to design a fun sticker to put on the front (either that or a sticker of our monogram) and incorporate a plane.  For obvious reasons because the FI is a pilot and the not-s0-obvious reason being that St. Louis has somewhat of a fantastical history of aviation.  Our guests would completely understand both reasons.

That is besides the point.  I wanted to share with you all these wonderful welcome totes by Navy and Lavender.  Not only do they put these bags together for your, but their prices ($30 – $50) include shipping and the contents are just perfect!  You even have the option of adding their “Rescue Me Kit” which includes things like Pepto Bismol, toothpaste, band-aids and so on.

This version is great for a beach or destination wedding.  You can customize the tote strap colors and the color of the tissue paper to coordinate with your wedding colors.

I LOVE that this one comes with a cute “country” fan. Everything about this bag is so country chic and fun!

Thanks for letting me air out my newest wedding day find!

Would you make your own welcome bags or pay to let someone else do it?

Buy the bags, and fill with your own contents. Guests will surely notice the personal touches only you can provide.

That was my thought. Do a mix of both to save you the trouble a bit, and customize to fit the wedding!

  3. I need to look into this! I am trying to decide what to do for our Welcome Bags!
