This is a great idea! I have always work shoes around the house before an event, but never thought to do it with socks!

Oh, that's good to know the tip really works! I have every intention of wearing my shoes ALL day. And, I'm pretty sure I'd be the bride that ate the most food, too, so it's okay by me!

I've broken in all my special occasion shoes since high school with the old sock trick. It works! In fact, the reception workers told me I was the only bride they'd ever seen wear her heels all night. I was also the bride that ate the most food... Hm.

I have yet to do anything with mine (and rightfully so, the wedding is NEXT September). For now they are safely tucked away in their Kate Spade bag and box and stored at my parents house. They will stay there until I plan to trot around my house in them (and socks) a few weeks before the wedding.

It's super-smart to break in your shoes. By the way, I was a red shoe bride, too - I just posted a whole mess of red shoe pics on my wedding blog today!

Mine were broken in just fine on the big day, but one thing I didn't foresee was that the tall, skinny heels would get stuck in between all of the boards on our rustic beach deck location. Thank goodness we had a runner!
